3.5 Years Cancer Free

It’s a surreal moment every time I get to share this message. After my first six-month scans post-chemo, I hugged my wife in the parking lot and cried, “It’s just so scary.”

Her reply: “Aww, I know, babe. It’s okay. I love you.”

This go around was different. It’s amazing how God works. When I joined the Saint Francis team back in June, I would walk through areas of the hospital and get cold chills. The waiting room still hits me in the feels from time to time.

This is the same place I received emergency surgery for the immediate removal of a tumor. It saved my life.

I’m thankful for the doctor and medical team who cared for my family and me during that time. You know who you are.

Getting scans at the same place you work is quite an experience! Glad we got the all-clear. To those fighting—please know we love you, and you are not alone. Never give up. #cancerfree
