Meet Blake Driskell
This is Blake’s first year teeing up at LemonDrop, but he’s no stranger to the game of golf or the tragedy that cancer leaves in its wake. While he doesn’t have a direct tie to TC specifically, Blake has experienced how cancer can impact a family. His dad was diagnosed with esophageal cancer in May of 2020 and passed away in November the same year.
“He was my best friend, co-worker, and mentor, so our loss has been extremely difficult. Bottom line: cancer sucks, and any way that I can raise money and awareness to help fight against cancer, I am all in!”
Blake loves spending time with his family, who are die-hard Disney fans and mean everything to him. That could mean random dance parties with their 3-year-old daughter, Anna Grace, building some crazy cool things with Legos with our 8-year-old son, Caleb, or getaways to the beach with my wife, Dana!
On his own, Blake’s favorite thing to do is get in an early morning round of golf, where prefers to walk the course. He’s a big Cardinals fan, was a huge 90’s Atlanta Braves fan, and he probably enjoys ice cream more than anyone.
He did play college golf for Southern Illinois University – Carbondale…but if you ask him, “I’m just a washed-up, has-been now.”
Show Blake some love and support him below.
